We went to Canada with the Healy side from August 5th-August 10th!! :) My Grandma is from there and so for my grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary they wanted to take the whole family to my Grandma Collette's hometown!! :) It took us 12 hours to get there, but we stopped halfway in Montana and spent the night at a hotel. :) The teenage girls all rode in my car and we survived the drive by listening to music, watching chick flicks, and playing games!! :) We filled each day of our trip with fun and exciting memories that we will ALWAYS remember!!! I can't wait to go back again someday!!! :)
Teenage girls.. we were pretty entertained!! :)
We stopped in Idaho Falls to eat at Wendy's and take a break. :)
While Jon and Priscilla were still eating, my Dad thought it would be soo funny to take my aunt and uncle's bag that had their passports in them!! :) We hid their bag in my car and all had to act serious and pretend like we didn't know what was going on and didn't know what had happened to their bag. FUNNIEST THING EVER!!! We pulled it off soo good!!! Then we had to hurry and let them know that it was my Dad before Priscilla was going to go talk to the manager at Wendys!! :)
Here she is after she found out it was us!! :)
Jon has his bags back!! :)
Putting grapes up our lips was pretty hilarious!! :)
We made lots of gas statioin stops.. :)
That night when we arrived in Helena, Montana we went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings!! :) It was James' birthday so we celebrated and ate yummy food!!
The next morning we packed our bags up and continued on with the long drive... We stopped at this lake that Lewis and Clark discovered so we could go enjoy a nice boat ride! :)
Healy family at "Great Falls." :)
Enjoying the lake!! :)
The boat ride was really fun and it was such a nice sunny day! :)
We kept driving and then stopped one last time in Montana to get ice cream before crossing the border! :)
Alli and I with Grandpa Tim!! :)
We were all kinda scared to cross the border.. You have to give them your passports, roll down your windows so they can see you, and answer questions!! Luckily, we all made it through without them making us take everything out of our cars!!! :)
We made it to CANADA!!! :) My grandma started crying because it has always been her dream to bring her whole family to Canada where she was born and raised most of her life!! :):):)
Alberta, Canada! :)
The next morning we went to a campsite and made breakfast. :)
Norris family!!! :)
My Mom and I. :)
We ate lots of food on our trip.. they also had a river that we enjoyed skipping rocks at. :)
We went on a hike afterwards to go see this amazing waterfall. Luke got lost and it was kinda scary, but a few minutes later we found him and were so grateful!!!
Everyone that passed us on the trail couldn't believe how many people we had in our family walking in a single file line Hahaha!! :)
My family and I at the waterfall. :)
Then we left and went to another waterfall called "Cameron Falls." We fed chipmunks and the kids LOVED IT! :)
We went to dinner that night at a cute little restaurant in Waterton. :)
Funny story... We thought it would be funny to ask our waiter if they had any fry sauce (Knowing that they would have no idea what it is). Garrett asks and our waiter says "What kind of fry sauce would you like?" We got a kick out of that!!! :) Then we told him what it was and we all started laughing!! We told him to try it and he actually did which was surprising!! :) He said he liked it! :) It's so weird how Utah is like the only place that has fry sauce!! :) I guess we were out of the country, but still!!! :)
My $50 canada money!!! :)
After dinner we went to rent these bikes for about an hour around Waterton. :) It seriously was hilarious and wish we had them around here!! :) Even though we had a freaky stalker taking pictures of us everytime we went around the block... my dad kinda got upset with him... and the guy got even more upset.. so we just decided to drop it right there!!! But I mean seriously he was only taking pictures of the girls..EWW!!!
When we got back to the cabin Ava cut her toe open, but luckily my Uncle Jeff is a plastic surgeon so he knew what do do and handled it well.
Priscilla played us songs on the piano every night... :)
The next morning we went to the Cardston Alberta Temple where my Grandma and Grandpa were married 50 years ago!!! :)
Healy Family. :)
We all ran down the hill. :)
Jasmine and Madi were wearing "Thing 1 and Thing 2" shirts so my Dad thought it would be funny to make himself "Thing 3!" :)
We stopped at the Barber Shop where my Great Grandpa Reed Card (Grandma Collette's Dad) used to do hair. :) Everyone in this picture has had their hair done by Grandpa Card. :)
We drove passed where my Great Grandpa Reed and Great Grandma Fern used to live!! :) Grandma Collette grew up there! :)
Where Grandma and Grandpa Card are burried. :)
That night we invited the Remington's over for a Luau at our cabin where we were staying at!! :) All week we were pulling this face to be funny! :) It's supposed to be an "Ugly" smile pose. :)
We rode paddle boats, canoes, and ate Hawaiian Haystacks!! :)
Playing the staring game where you stare at a person til they notice and its hilarious!!! :) They did it to me and all their heads were just staring at me!! :):):) I LOVE my family!!!!
Playing volleyball was a BLAST!!!! :)
We stayed up late every night playing games!!! :):):)
We played some really fun games that I had never played before!! :)
On our last day we went to the Remington's Cabin to spend the day there!!! :):):) They are so rich and have their own lake!!! We all couldn't believe it and all the fun toys they had. :)
Roasting Hot Dogs. :)
It was actually a success!!! :)
We rode 4-wheelers, canoes, and watched the Olympics!! :)
They took us down the dirt road to a canal where we went down the river in tubes!! :)
Me, Jess, and Meg!! :)
This is there own canal/river too!!! :)
Loading up the tubes in the jeep to take down the river. :)
It was really relaxing and peaceful!! :)
The water was FREEZING though!!!
After we left their cabin we headed back to Waterton for our last night. :)
We bought shakes and did last minute shopping in the shops! :)
My Dad and Mom!! :)
This hotel "Prince of Wales" is a famous hotel!! :) They have old fashioned elevators and its soo cool!!
I'm so glad that we got the opportunity to go to Canada and celebrate my Grandparents Wedding Anniversary!!! :) Thank you soo much Grandma and Grandpa!!!!! :):):):):):)
